Elder Care Support is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to help elders with financial assistance for daily living expenses.
The inspiration for Elder Care Support was born out of Kalindi La Gourasana’s teachings and vision to provide care and support for her disciples in their later years. Kalindi wanted her disciples to help one another with both love and care and financial assistance.
The organization is managed by a Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary.
Elder Care Support operates by fundraising donations from individuals, and then distributes those funds to elders who need financial assistance. An elder is generally over 65 years of age, however younger disciples are not excluded.
Elders with financial needs go through an application process to qualify for assistance. The qualification process is based on variables such as yearly income, assets, possible family assistance and government assistance.
Donations given to the Elder Care Support do not qualify as tax-deductible for the donor.
